The game crashes if I type 12 or so characters in the regex.
Thanks for the report! I will look into this. Does it happen on a specific level, or every level?
It happened on The ABCs of Editing.
I also found an issue where the set of levels using [^] requires more stars than you can get.
Actually, it's not based on characters, it's based on keystrokes

The words that show up in green and red text can sometimes be BEHIND the rest of the GUI and make it impossible to know what criteria is for the puzzle.
