Green and red are not a good pairing - colourblind players may not be able to distinguish them at all. I found the UI confusing overall, with what seem to be bugs with successfully gaining gems, and just very hard to read text with barely any kerning.
The game crashes if I type 12 or so characters in the regex.
Thanks for the report! I will look into this. Does it happen on a specific level, or every level?
It happened on The ABCs of Editing.
I also found an issue where the set of levels using [^] requires more stars than you can get.
Actually, it's not based on characters, it's based on keystrokes

The words that show up in green and red text can sometimes be BEHIND the rest of the GUI and make it impossible to know what criteria is for the puzzle.
